Saskatoon was a cool place to visit this week. I learned so many interesting things.Did you know that Saskatoon has more than 145 parks that covers over 2300 acres of land? Well I learned that. I also learned that Saskatoon is one of the sunniest places in Canada, and gets about 2380 hours of sunshine per year. Saskatoon has a population of 202340 people. That is alot! Did you know that the residents of Saskatoon are called sakatoonians? I think that is really wierd. I also learned that Saskatoon has 7 bridges crossing the south saskatchewan river. Another cool fact is that the first settlers came in 1883! That was a really long time ago! Saskatoon first became a city in 1906, and celebrated it's 100th birthday in 2006! That wasn't that long ago. More importantly, Saskatoon is the biggest city in Saskatchewan! I learned so much on my trip to Saskatoon!
